Playoff Assignment Process 09-10

1.  You will receive an email saying your have a NEW GAME ASSIGNMENT and the game will be posted on the ARBITER in your schedule. These games are assigned in advanced of me getting them from C.I.F.  The number of games are based on past years averages.  There may be more or less games this year. The game #’s 1- 18 are assigned randomly to each team.  If there are fewer games that we expect the higher number games will be eliminated.

2.     I will email the Center Official and his/her AR’s to set up his/her three-man team before I get the real games from C.I.F.  I will start emailing on or before Monday February 1st. The Center Official must contact his/her AR’s and confirm his team can do the game and get back to me by email or phone by Thursday Feb 4thth    12:00 p.m. This would also be a good time to exchange emergency phone numbers ECT. The AR’s and center must accept the game in your arbiter account by Feb 4th 12:00p.m.  If the center is unable to contact an AR by Feb. 4th 12:00p.m. or the AR has not accepted the game on ARBITER by that date and time the center must call or email me and I will replace the AR. Centers and AR’s can look at the game on arbiter and see if each member of the team has accepted the game.

3.  When I get the games from C.I.F. I will put it on ARBITER and email the Center Official and AR’s the games home team, visiting team, and location. You must get on the ARBITER and ACCEPT the game once again at this time.  YOU HAVE 24 HOURS IN MOST CASES TO DO THIS.  All start times are 3:00 unless changed by agreement between the home and visiting team.  The home team will tell you the time.

4.  The Center must contact his AR’s and all three officials must call the home school to verify the time and place.  Also, be sure to leave your name and phone number so they can have your check for you at the game.  Failure to call the school within 24 hours of getting the game will result in the loss of that game and any other playoff games.  Do not wait until the day of the game. Remind the schools that they can find all the game information on ARBITER FOR THE FIRST TWO ROUNDS
